Real Wedding: Camille + David=Spring Forward!
On the first anniversary of a special couple, Camille + David, I wanted to share photos by the talented Annie Hosfeld. I was honored to work with this bride to plan her wedding in just a few short months. The couple had an amazing story of how they took their first date on daylight savings Fall back a few years ago, then in 2010, David proposed on Fall back. They knew they wanted to a winter wedding, so what better night than daylight savings Spring forward? The wedding took place in the beautiful Rose Garden Ballroom on the 19th floor of Philadelphia's Hyatt at the Bellevue, with their gorgeous couples photos at XIX. Naturally, we tied in the whole clock change idea throughout the concept by incorporating vintage clocks and imagery. We even used pocket watch necklaces as the favor. As always, Nancy Saam did an amazing job with the flowers!

Real Wedding: Sweet Water Farmer's Market
I knew when I first met Megan that I just had to work with her on her May wedding at Sweetwater Farm in Glen Mills. She and I totally clicked, and I loved her vision to incorporate a farmer's market vibe into the rustic renovated barn space. We brought in Nancy Saam to create amazing florals incorporating fruits & veggies, vintage tin can labels, garden chalkboard markers, mason jars and wooden boxes. Nancy and I took a brainstorming trip to Sweetwater and visited nearby Terrain for lunch, which sparked even more creativity.
Alison Conklin did an extraordinary job with the photography.

Real Events: colorful vintage 1st birthday party
When I considered the possibility of a large party, I thought of what would be the most enjoyable for my baby girl. I decided that she would rather enjoy bright colors, balloons, cake & ice cream while her mommy and daddy aren't too busy running a party to cuddle her up if she feels overwhelmed. We decided to hire our wedding photographer, Annie Hosfeld, to capture her smashing her first cake (a homemade 4 layer, rainbow cake, with dum dum lollipops to resemble balloons) and eating her first bites of sugar (ok maybe not the first bites- she does have a big sister after all). We invited our immediate families and blew-up more than 60 Dollartree punching balls with helium to fill the house. We kept it super simple with food by serving cupcakes & setting-up a little ice cream station on the girls' play kitchen. It turned out to be a ton of fun & we now have amazing photos to share with her as she gets older.
