Interiors: "The right amount of wrong"

When I was touring some venues with my client the other day, we passed the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia.  She and I agreed that the space is amazing as I had just seen the new website & apparently, she had taken a tour a few years ago.  One of the things she remembered most from the tour was that every room has a touch of imperfection as a reminder that only g_d is perfect.  This concept has stuck in my mind, so when I was reading a magazine and saw an ad for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas- "The right amount of wrong" my interest was piqued enough to go online and check out the photos.  Although I am not a Vegas girl, this looks like it might be worth the sacrifice...

Interiors: a new online magazine from down under

Adore is the newest online resource based in Australia.  I am loving the feature called "style to steal", which tells you where to purchase stuff to create a similar look.

jaw dropping gorgeous fundraiser!

I have been reading about events for so long now that it is not so frequently that I see photos that really make my heart pitterpatter. This mother/daughter tea fundraiser  that I saw on Amy Atlas' awesome blog, is so gorgeous that I just had to share here. Check out the house in the background- SO amazing! You can see a full story here .

Hotel Palomar Philadelphia

I have been wishing for a W Hotel in Philadelphia since I first stayed in a W in Chicago a decade ago. In 2006, it looked like it might happen, but with the economic downturn, I guess Starwood pulled out, and alas we still have no W Hotel. We did, however, get a hotel that is equally chic and perhaps even better with it's boutique feel and gorgeous design. what i love about it: the chandeliers, the ballroom chairs, the organic conference table, the soft palette, the pop-art Ben Franklin busts, and it's green (LEED certified)!

John Derian for Target on Gilt this Friday!

John Derian is a decoupage artist in NYC that is teaming up with Target for the 3rd time to bring his high-end line of tableware & stationery to the masses at a reasonable pricepoint (most pieces will be under $25). These pieces could be fun for a wedding display or for home decor & Gilt is having a flash pre-sale on Friday at noon. So get the goods before they become available at Target stores in early September (last time they were really hard to find in Philly). If you don't have a gilt account- get one here.
