Wednesday night I went to the
Philadelphia Wedding Project party at
Washington Square where I ran into Bailey Hale who is an amazingly talented florist. I had the privilege of working with him a few years ago at a La Dolce Vita inspired event at
Boyds in Philadelphia and I am happy to announce that he has now started his own floral design company with two other talented designers called
Moda Botanica. They create some of the most unique designs for all types of events and also have a storefront at 13th and Pine. Make sure to check out their blog and stop in the shop to see what they are up to next.

There have been so many changes at Innove in the last month and I apologize deeply for the lack of posts!!! I hope you will forgive me. We will be launching a new site and blog in December and hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do. We also have more exciting news..so make sure to stay tuned.
Along with all of the changes we have been making we were also very busy with events and wanted to share with you one of our favorites. You may remember my post a few months ago about the
Reading Terminal Market, well the party took place October 2nd and we had such a great time putting this rehearsal dinner for 150 together. The inspiration for the event was to try and utilize the market for every element of the party. All of the decor with the exception of some of the containers came from within the market and we were able to work with the food vendors to create a menu that was local and mostly sustainable. It was a really fun challenge and I loved the outcome which was captured by the talented Emily and Cassidy from
Wren & Field Photography.
These are just a few of my favorites....

Recenlty we were asked by Philadelphia Weddings to participate in the "Ask the Experts" column for the magazine! Check out the question from a real bride and how we answered it. We love giving advice to real brides, so if you are a bride with a question that you are stumped on, please send it our way and we will try to steer you in the right direction.

Some of you may remember my sister Rachel from a guest blog she posted back in the spring while I was working in the Bahamas. She is absolutely amazing and I am so happy to announce that she has started her own event company in Florida,
Feather and Form. It is a collaborative event design firm owned by Rachel and our cousin
Jus Cowland, who is one of the best wedding photographers on the Space Coast and they will be working together to style and capture all types of events! They have some exciting things coming up this year so I will make sure to keep you posted and they just finished shooting an editorial spread that is looking simply stunning. Since I have an "in", I was able to grab a few of the behind the scene photos from the shoot to share with you. I am so excited for the two of them and can't wait to collaborate in the future. Their grand opening is taking place in November so I will be heading down to Florida to attend the soiree. I will make sure to post about it.

Great news fashionistas, Monique Lhuillier has introduced Bliss, a new bridal line with a lower price tag than her couture collection (are you jumping up and down yet?)! As you know I absolutely adore her designs and I am so excited to see this beautiful collection. Keep your eyes open this fall for 15 styles to appear in Monique Lhuillier retailers worldwide! The gowns, which feature the same classic silhouettes, delicate fabrications, fine laces, and hand-tufting, are around half the cost of regular Lhuillier gowns, ranging from $2,300 to $3,500, now that is a steal!

I can't believe this weekend will be our 1 year anniversary! Last night I was reminiscing about the week leading up the wedding and trying to remember every detail about the wonderful day. It is really weird, it wasn't this chilly, but this weeks weather is very similar to what it was like last year, lots of rain and cloudy skies. We had to move our rehearsal dinner inside due to the rain and as you know our wedding took place inside because there were threats of rain on the day of. I hope tomorrow is clear for all of the couples getting married but if not, don't sweat it because you can't control it.
I thought it might be fun to post a few of my favorite pictures from our wedding to go back and relive the day. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do.
Have a great weekend!
Beka
