Real Events: colorful vintage 1st birthday party

When I considered the possibility of a large party, I thought of what would be the most enjoyable for my baby girl. I decided that she would rather enjoy bright colors, balloons, cake & ice cream while her mommy and daddy aren't too busy running a party to cuddle her up if she feels overwhelmed. We decided to hire our wedding photographer, Annie Hosfeld, to capture her smashing her first cake (a homemade 4 layer, rainbow cake, with dum dum lollipops to resemble balloons) and eating her first bites of sugar (ok maybe not the first bites- she does have a big sister after all). We invited our immediate families and blew-up more than 60 Dollartree punching balls with helium to fill the house. We kept it super simple with food by serving cupcakes & setting-up a little ice cream station on the girls' play kitchen. It turned out to be a ton of fun & we now have amazing photos to share with her as she gets older.

"The Big Cheese" fete featured on Style Me Pretty

When Nicole from Red Balloon PR came to us to help design a surprise party for her husband we were so excited and filled with ideas. We were looking for an intimate setting for 15 guests to celebrate his new career adventure & when we discovered that Nicole's nickname for him is "The Big C" we couldn't help but suggest to have it at the Old City Cheese Shop and focus all the details around the name. We had a great time working with Nicole on the invitation, that was designed by Onawa Designs and printed on cheese cloth and delivered in old brie containers to each guest. It was such an honor to be chosen to co-host the The Knot's Insider Guide to Philadelphia and we are so excited to share it with you today at The Knot. We worked with some of Philly's top wedding professionals and venues to showoff what our city has to offer and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Innove Featured in Brides Magazine

I am so excited to announce that my wedding was published in the January 2010 issue of Bride's Magazine! It will be on newstands until January 13th so make sure to pick up a copy and check out the V.I.P. Vows story.

There's A Carnival In Town

Innove Events is thrilled to announce that we will be collaborating with The Knot and other Philadelphia vendors to help launch The Knot's annual market event! We've come up with what we think will be an amazing theme and hopefully gets guests interacting and enjoying themselves. As you can see from our inspiration board below, we've decided on a carnival theme event and we've got tons of great ideas in store! The stacked ticket centerpiece is simply adorable and the colors make for a fun and vibrant evening. We're still working on some of the details and in the midst of fine tuning everything. We've got lots of work to do at the office, but we're so excited to be a part of this!

We're still looking for great sponsors for the event's gift bags and there are plenty of other opportunities as well!

We will keep you all posted on the progression of the event. It's set for October, so we still have plenty of things to get done in a short amount of time!

Innove Featured on NBC's The 10 Show!

So sorry for the lack of posts this week, we have been super busy preparing for a wedding this Sunday and on Tuesday we were so excited to be featured on NBC's The 10 Show! We had such an awesome time working with a Eventions Productions and Stephen Starr Events to create the segment. The Knot Feature

We are so excited to have one of our couples' weddings featured in the latest issue of The Knot. Tara and Patrick's wedding took place in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the spring of 2008. The theme of the wedding was centered around the Star of Bethlehem and the image was incorporated throughout the wedding.
