dressing up invitations with vintage stamps

I have adored the idea of mixing old stamps in your color scheme for some time. I just came across this etsy seller -Verde Studio - that simplifies the concept by selling the stamps in color coordinated groups.  This could be a colorful way to make your invitations, save-the-dates, or thank you notes extra special!  You could also always go the DIY route and scour ebay for the right combo.

vintage rentals

i have been noticing couples are trending away from super modern furniture and using rustic and vintage pieces for wedding decor. too bad this amazing resource is clear across the country in California. Jeni from Found has an amazing eye!

Hotel Palomar Philadelphia

I have been wishing for a W Hotel in Philadelphia since I first stayed in a W in Chicago a decade ago. In 2006, it looked like it might happen, but with the economic downturn, I guess Starwood pulled out, and alas we still have no W Hotel. We did, however, get a hotel that is equally chic and perhaps even better with it's boutique feel and gorgeous design. what i love about it: the chandeliers, the ballroom chairs, the organic conference table, the soft palette, the pop-art Ben Franklin busts, and it's green (LEED certified)!

Fashion Fridays: the icing!

We all know the dress is important, but umm, accessories are the icing on the cake! A recent bride, Kristina (i'll share her photos as soon as we get them!), had the most amazing eveningbag! she shared with me that she found out it at Lori's Shoes...

John Derian for Target on Gilt this Friday!

John Derian is a decoupage artist in NYC that is teaming up with Target for the 3rd time to bring his high-end line of tableware & stationery to the masses at a reasonable pricepoint (most pieces will be under $25). These pieces could be fun for a wedding display or for home decor & Gilt is having a flash pre-sale on Friday at noon. So get the goods before they become available at Target stores in early September (last time they were really hard to find in Philly). If you don't have a gilt account- get one here.
