MK Photography

I am excited to feature the ultra talented Mike Kehr from MK Photography. His work is awesome and he couldn't be nicer. We are working together this summer and he stopped by the office yesterday to say hi and to drop off an album from Toby & Ido's wedding that was featured on the Innove Blog last year. I am so excited to be working him and his staff in June. The wedding will take place on the bride's family farm and then off to Kennett Square for the reception. Lets hope the weather is cooler then last year!

Mike recently got back from WPPI, the Premiere International Wedding and Portrait Photographers Convention that was held in Las Vegas and he was so delighted to have 7 of MK Photo's prints earn an “Accolade of Excellence” Award this year....congratulations Mike & Jana, job well done!

Spring Flowers

It was such a beautiful weekend in Philadelphia! The weather was warm and it really got me excited for all of the vibrant spring flowers that start popping up around the city. Soon the trees will start blooming and the tulips will be everywhere but best of all, it is ranuculus season! I absolutely love ranuculus and have dedicated this post to all of the amazing colors and textures that they add to bouquets and centerpieces. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!

Fashionista Fridays!

As we all know, it is such a special occassion to pick your wedding gown, you want the perfect dress that makes you feel beautiful and timeless. The wedding dresses that I found worn by Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn and a few other fashionistas have conquered the test of time and have been used as inspirations to many dress designers. These dresses are fun while also being sophisticated...Check out the dresses of the past and present!

Rachel Getting Married

Last night I watched Rachel Getting Married and was totally inspired by the informal, Moroccan-bohemian style wedding that was created for the movie. I think what I found most inspiring was the personal touch in every element of the event. After watching the movie, I did a little research and found some amazing images that would help to inspire a similar style event.

If you are thinking about creating a wedding in the same style, the first rule is you can't be afraid of color! The bright combinations of fuchsia, blue, gold, pink, orange and others are the key ingredients...along with fun music and great authentic food. To add an extra touch for your guests, rent a hookah and let them lounge in a Moroccan style tent.

Snowy Days

Hey Everyone!

I was supposed to fly in last night but with all of the snow we were unable to make it and I am in Florida for a day. I am bummed I missed the snow, I love it when everything is white and quiet......so since I am missing it, I posted a picture to help me get in the mood!

I am so excited to post my first fashionita friday blog...make sure to check in every friday for some of my favorite designers, trends and more. I would love to hear about your favorites too!

On my flight down to the Bahamas, I was reading through the Winter 2009 Martha Stewart Weddings and was amazed by the new Monique Lhuillier ad campaign. She is an absolute genius! The new designs are amazingly beautiful and have such great attitude. If you haven't seen them yet, I have posted them here. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
